In Q2 of 2024, I led an effort to re-write the subnavigation guidelines at Snapchat, based on findings by the Design Research team that lack of coherence, consistency, and definition in navigation patterns and visual signposts was making it difficult for users to navigate the app. Through a process of app audits, competitor analysis, and systems alignment, I created a set of principles and guidelines for designers and developers on how Trays and Subpages work in Snapchat.
